Your journey begins as you fly into Las Vegas. After soaking in the city's vibrant atmosphere, rent a car and hit the road for the first leg of your adventure: Zion National Park. We rented our car from Avis in the Billagio because that is where we stayed after exploring the parks. Another alternative would be to rent from Turo. The roughly two-hour drive takes you through the mesmerizing desert landscapes of Nevada and into Utah's captivating red rock scenery.

Exploring Zion National Park

Spend at least a full day exploring Zion's wonders. The towering sandstone cliffs and the Virgin River cutting through the canyon create a surreal backdrop for hikes like Angels Landing and The Narrows. Capture the sunrise at Canyon Overlook Trail for a picture-perfect start to your day.

Zion to Bryce Canyon National Park

As you bid farewell to Zion, drive about an hour and a half to Bryce Canyon National Park. The hoodoos—odd-shaped pillars of rock—create an otherworldly landscape. Arrive in time to catch the sunset at Sunset Point, where the warm hues transform the hoodoos into a breathtaking spectacle.

Bryce Canyon to Capitol Reef National Park

Enjoy a two-hour drive to Capitol Reef, where the Waterpocket Fold showcases the Earth's geologic history. The park's Fruita Historic District offers a glimpse into the area's agricultural heritage. Don't miss the opportunity to pick fresh fruit at the orchards when in season.

Capitol Reef to Arches National Park

Two hours away, Arches National Park is your next stop, known for its iconic stone arches and balanced rocks. Delicate Arch is a must-see, especially during sunset when the colors of the sky enhance its beauty. The Windows Section and Devil's Garden are also worth exploring.

Arches National Park to Canyonlands

Finally, venture to Canyonlands National Park, just a half hour away from Arches. The park's diverse districts offer different perspectives of its canyons, mesas, and buttes. Grand View Point Overlook in the Island in the Sky district lives up to its name, providing expansive views of the stunning landscape.

Arches to Las Vegas

As you return to Las Vegas, take the six-and-a-half-hour drive to reflect on the incredible natural beauty you've witnessed during your journey. Arriving in Las Vegas, you'll experience a unique contrast between the serene national parks and the city's vibrant energy. We ended our trip with a bit of fun in Sin City, enjoying some food and concerts before departing back home.
